Ernest Lapierre Dairy
(1952 - 1971)

Historic

In Breakeyville, situated four miles south of Quebec City, was Mr. Ernest Lapierre's farm. With a total of twenty five cows and some farm equipement, Mr. Lapierre started a small dairy operation in 1952. The bottles were washed in 3 small tubs equipped with a small motor and brush. The bottling of milk was done two at a time. The delivery route covered 3 to 5 miles and milk was sold at 0.18c a quart. The dairy ceased it's operation in 1971, due to the sale to "Laval Dairy" of Quebec City.
